Alec Baldwin leaving NBC show “30 ROCK”

Alec Baldwin may be following in Steve Carrell’s footsteps once his contract expires in 2012. During an interview with CNN, Baldwin admitted that he is over show business and would like to lead a more simple life.

“As much as I like acting, I know that I would love to have a different life, a private life. I think doing this now for a living has become really hard. It’s really hard,” Baldwin said.

“I would rather go do other things and have whatever amount of time I have left in my life [to] have more of a normal life … I want to find out if it’s possible. How close can I get,” he added.

Baldwin currently stars as Jack Donaghy on the NBC sitcom ’30 Rock’ and is the oldest of the Baldwin brothers working in Hollywood.
